Ukrainian Parliament imposes stricter responsibility for violations in issuing building permits

The Ukrainian Parliament has imposed stricter responsibility on the local authorities for violating the law on issuing authorisation documents, according to building.ua.
The amendments provide for administrative responsibility for violation of terms of issuing permits and other breaches hindering the work of investors and construction companies. Due to the new law, the fines for the officials’ offences committed within the authorisation procedures will amount to 30-50 untaxed minimum monthly Ukrainian salaries. In the case of recidivists, who have violated the law and who have been already fined within a year, the fine will range between 50 and 70 untaxed minimum monthly Ukrainian income.
