2010-08-09
In August 2010 extensive construction work will begin on roads in Ukraine, in the Odessa Province. A sum of UAH 43m (€3.2m) has been allocated for the first stage of the project. For example, in Donetsk the road work in Baydukova Street will be completed in the near future, and this which will reduce the traffic load in the centre and make further road work possible. The overall cost of this
road construction is estimated to be UAH 250m (€23.8m). The city also received UAH 50m (€4.8m) from the government for the reconstruction and repair of roads in preparation for Euro-2012.
In addition, budget funding was provided for substantial repair work on a 1,135-kilometre section of the Kiev-Kharkov-Dovjansky road. The total funding required for this project is thought to be $300m.
