Turkish Contractor Dadash Starts Construction of the Luxury Condominium Building in Herson. |

There will be build seven storey luxury condominium building in downtown of Herson (Southern Ukraine). The Turkish contractor Dadash will care the project. Estimated price of 1 sq.m. is $446.00. There will be 35 condos of total area 5200 sq.m. Total cost of the project $2.3M. |

Corporation STOLITZA Plans to Reach 216,600 sq.m. of the New Housing Built in 2005. |

Corporation Stolitza (First city) located in Kiev plans to sell 216,600 sq.m. in 2005. This number is going to be achieved by construction of 44 apartment buildings. Corporation Stolitza built only 17 apartment buildings in 2004. This grow in construction in 2005 was initiated by 22% increase in investments. |

Kiev is Planning Construction of New Districts in the Next Decade. |
||||
|
General plan of the City development (2020) includes construction of the new districts Vishgorod, Hodosovka, and Gatne. The increase of the Greater Kiev Area is dictated by increase in City's population. It is expected that population of the Kiev will reach 2.64M by 2010 and 2.65M by 2020. The plan also takes in consideration better life standards, aiming European norms of 25-35 sq.m. of real estate per person. |

20 City Parking Facilities will be Built in Kiev in 2006. |

It will be built 20 City's multilevel parking lots in Kiev in 2006, announced City Architect Mr. Prisayznuk. In particular there will be two City multilevel parking facilities in every district of the City built in 2006. As per Kiev bylaw it is mandatory for contractors to provide at least one parking space per apartment since 2003. |

Kievgorstroy Intends to Build a New District in Uzgorog (Western Ukraine) . |

Kievgorstroy - one of the biggest Ukrainian contractors is planning to build 30,000 habitants new district of Uzgorod. The project will include infrastructure, number of schools and day care facilities. Location of the new district is near to the Bezdoshsky park area. |

Elevators Modernization Program Takes off in Kiev. |
||||
|
Massive replacement and reinstallation of the elevators will take place in Kiev in 2006. The previous program "My home" didn't work for the City, Mayor says. Only 86 elevators were replaced in 2001-2004. New program will take care for 30 years old elevators and older in the first place. The future of the program depends on the local taxation policy. |

Mayor Prepares for European Soccer Championship 2012 Bid. |

The working group was created within the City administration to start preparations for the 2012 European Soccer Championship bid. The 21 members group will include the vise mayor of the City Mr. Borisov. Ukraine and Poland will join their effort to bid for European Soccer Championship 2012. |

Construction of the Hortitza Bridge in Zaporogie is On-hold. |

|
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to put construction of Hortitza Bridge o/r Dnepr in City of Zaporogie on hold. Construction of the bridge would be retrieved after "Highway Over River Dnepr" Committee will publish its report. The biggest concern of the local government is construction budget and schedule. |
