New US-Ukrainian Joint Venture Is Ready to Serve American Real Estate Investors.

Consulting company BAS LLP (Las Vegas, NV) and construction company KievSocBud (Kiev, Ukraine) created joint venture Ukraine Estates Investments Ltd. Director of the new enterprise Mr. Drukov says, that mission of the Company is to attract American investors in the hot Ukrainian real estate market. The Company targets construction and reconstruction of apartment buildings, commercial buildings and sport facilities.

"Privat-Zilye Ug" Starts Construction of New Residential District in Nicolaev .

Construction Company "Privat-Zilye Ug" (Private Residence - South) starts construction of 27 apartments buildings. Braking Ground event took place on 19 hectares lot. Company will build 250 thousand sg.m of apartments in 10 years. Director of the company Mr. Lopatko says that district will consist of 6-14 storey buildings. Every building will have individual architectural appearance. The main investor Private Bank invested $70M in the project.

Smartech Systems Starts Construction of Five Apartment Buildings in Vishgorod.

Construction Company Smartech Systems starts construction of five apartment buildings in Vishgorod , Kiev Oblast (County). Contractor will use 'monolith frame" technique. Brick envelope in combination with noise-adsorbing materials will provide superior noise insulation. Each of five 16 storey building will have 168 apartments. Inertial finishes will be extra. Project will be accomplished in the 4th quarter of 2006. Construction Company Smartech Systems is building two apartment buildings in Troeshina district at the moment.

Construction of the Biggest in Ukraine Mall in Dnipropetrovs'k Downtown.

The biggest in Ukraine mall is under construction in Downtown Dnipropetrovs'k. It's located next to the Central bridge o/r Dnepr. The total area of the mall/ commercial multiplex will be 117,000sq.m. Total cost of construction will be $35.1M. Today 60% of the construction is accomplished, says Director of AKTA Development Mr. Sirota. The mall will be open for use in three stages. The first 60,700sq.m of the shopping floor and a 1,000 cars parking lot will be open in September 2006.

Construction of the Hortitza Bridge Restarts in Zaporogie.

Construction of the Hortitza Bridge, that was put on hold by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine this July, is going to restart now. The meting of the "Highway Over River Dnepr" Committee came up with memorandum. The memorandum states that construction of the Hortitza bridge (660m suspended bridge and 260m arch brige) won't damage Hortitza heritage area. Ukrainian Government will support the project with at least 233M UAH.

Makrocap Development Ukraine Invests $20M in Alushta Marina Project.

Alushta, Crimea is a popular resorts location on the Black See board. Makrocap Development Ukraine decided to invest $20M in construction of marina in Alushta. The marina will include yacht club, three star hotel, and will be capable of handling up to 300 boats.

Makrocap Development Ukraine currently building number of luxury apartment buildings in Kharkov (Eastern Ukraine). It also develops architectural design of residential and commercial buildings (e.g. Movie theater "Kinodrom").

Steel Structures Collapse During Erection.

40 years old steel worker get killed, and four others are seriously injured as structures collapsed on construction site of Mebel-Servisces new facilities. Accident took place in Radehov, a small town of Lvov Oblast (County) in the Western Ukraine. Preliminary investigation shows that the accident was a result of deviation from erection technique.

Official Opening of the New Residential District Takes Place in Kiev.

Mayor of Kiev Mr. Omelchenko took part in the official opening of a new part of a residential district Dneprovsky. One third of 1230 apartments of the district belong to the Cities social fund.
