Ukrainian
state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsya is
planning to use seven high-speed trains in some future. The main problem
of high-speed train implementation is heavy traffic of Kiev Moscowsky -
Darnitza line crossing river Dnepr. The only one possible solution to the
problem is construction of a new bridge over Dnepr. In October 2004
Ukrzaliznytsya received credit of $700M form Deutsche
Bank for the new bridge construction. In fact contractor Planeta-Mist
started construction in July 2004. At the moment the moment there are two
contractors on the construction site Planeta-Mist and Dogus
(Turkey). |
