Facade of the Building In front of the Kiev Opera House Will Be Rebuild. |

The Kiev's administration came to agreement with the Government Construction Research and Development Institute known as NYY Project Reconstruction. In accordance with the agreement NYY starts restoration project of facade of the building located on 51-53 Vladimirsky St. This ugly building was built in 1969 in front of Kiev Opera house. The idea to demolish the building didn't come through. There are three options of restoration suggested by NYY's architects. Two of them are based on use of glass. All plans of facade rebuilding include removal of existing concrete facing. Project cost is 0.46M UAH. NYY Project Reconstruction was formed in 1945 for Kiev' reconstruction after WW2. It has 28 local branches though all Ukraine. |
